Most Recent Project: Helping to Stop Offshore Oil Drilling in the Bahamas​

In 2021 EcoEd supported Our Islands Our Future, Waterkeepers Bahamas and Save the Bays in covering a security for costs in the legal Judicial Review case these environmental organizations filed against Bahamas Petroleum Company to stop destructive offshore oil drilling in the Bahamas, this year and in the future. They argue authorization to drill was issued without adequate public consultation and in contravention of laws and requirements in The Bahamas.
